Manual roof scraping & treatment is suited to any type of roof and viewed as the most gentle and long lasting solution to cleaning a roof, this is by far the best method for concrete roof tiles.
Upon arrival at your property our team leader will complete an online risk assessment specific to our manual roof moss removal and treatment process.
The risk assessment helps to keep you, visitors to your property and our team safe while we clean your roof along with ensuring we as a company comply with our legal health and safety requirements.
Our team will use tarpaulins to protect your property from where moss will fall during the roof scraping process.
Taurpaulins are used to protect your driveway, paths, patio, lawn and flowerbeds from falling roof moss, allowing us to leave your property as tidy as physically possible upon completion of your roof cleaning service.
Our team leaders plan the appropriate locations for mobile access towers to be assembled.
Mobile access towers are then assembled by our PASMA trained operative to provide a safe platform to clean your roof from.
We don’t want any moss unnecessarily entering our gutter drainage system, all downpipes are checked to ensure that they are blocked before we commence. If they are not already blocked then we block them for the manual roof moss removal process.
We start scraping from the ridge tiles down each face of your roof.
Manually scraping moss from the face and lip of each tile using telescopic poles with a range of specially designed roof cleaning scraper heads and our compressed air roof cleaning system.
Scraping of roof moss is carried out from the safety of our mobile access towers and / or our van mounted cherry picker.
We clear the gutters of debris using gutter vacuum systems and by hand where possible.
Once your gutters are clear we then remove the downspout stops, leaving your gutter system clear and free flowing to ground level.
Our team then gets to work with a thorough tidy up on ground level, using a leaf blower, shovel and brooms they ensure to clear up debris in each area on ground level.
Debris that has fallen into neighboring properties is also tidied up as part of our clean up process. We always leave the ground tidier than when we arrived!
We apply Biocide (Bac Clear Pro) to complete your roof clean. The biocide is carefully applied via hose pipe and brushes using an electric pump.
The pump applies the chemical at a very low pressure, comparable to that of your garden hose.
On completion of your manual roof moss removal and Biocide treatment you have peace of mind with our 3 year moss free guarantee!
If moss started to grow on your moss within 3 years of the treatment we would return free of charge to re-scrape the moss and reapply the biocide roof wash to your roof!
